I am the lucky one to have her! But thank you :) That was my plan, to use Hindi to talk about people without them knowing! It's good though, because Avi has never learnt to read Hindi so her parents keep telling her how I put her to shame because I learnt to read it! ahah
haha! that happens to a lot of indian people who learn the language from talking around the house and their family. A bunch of my friends can’t read hindi, but can speak fluently. I was fortunate enough that my dadiji taught me how when I was very young.

Of course, I don't mind you asking. It's my long term girlfriends (avixo on tumblr, I see you've spoke to her!) parents are from India, so even though she was born in England all her family bar her mum dad and aunt, live in India and Hindi is the language of her household. I feel like I wanted to show her how serious I am about her, and I thought that learning Hindi would be a really good way to do that. Of course, it's going to take a long time but I'm getting there, and I can recognise a good few words now! I've gone on a bit, but yeah that's why I'm learning it. Thanks again :) x

It’s really great when you can both talk in the same language…also so you guys can talk to each other and not have other people know what you’re saying! that’s my favourite thing to do with my desi friends. :D

It was honestly amazing. Hrithik's performance was good...maybe mainly because of his appearance, but hey.
Salman Khan looked pretty good. It's a shame Aamir Khan wasn't there, but he never is.
I watched it last sunday too! With my family and another family :') great gathering.

Probably true, but his singing!!! How can he be blessed with a great voice, amazing dancing, being so attractive and that body PLUS acting skillz. he is really the perfect man….
and ehhh, i’m not too much of a fan of Salman Khan these days, he was looking kind of old last night (not that old is a bad thing, but it was like a tired, worn out, old.) :/ after the whole dating Katrina Kaif thing and Aishwarya Rai thing, i’ve lost some respect for him. it’s sad because I used to love him….like want him to be my dad loved him. haha

and hah! it seems all the desis were watching it then! yeah, it was a big thing at our house too. my naniji and nanaji cooked together and we had some people over sporadically actually.
She DID! god her sari was INCREDIBLE! completely breathtaking and original too! My sister was like “I want her sari when I get married, mommy!” hahahaha. I think it’s her an John. They really bring out the most beautiful and wonderful in each other!
